After reading two of the On Strike books, a third grader asked when entering the library, \"Ms. Graham, what's going on strike today?\" That let me know how much they were enjoying the series. \r\n\r\nWe haven't gotten to all of the books yet but I'm really looking forward to sharing each one of them with the students and I'm always excited about their feedback. The read alouds and activities are great ways to encourage students to read more and explore. Our children are learning how to understand and develop functional vocabulary, so they are pointing and imitating the names of new words while they read. The lift the flat books and different textures, allow our children with developmental delays to have exposure to a variety of books.
