My young learners arrive each day eager to explore language, literacy, and communication skills, and now they have the resources that help them stay focused, confident, and ready for success.\r\n\r\nThe Early Language Activity Boxes have already made a meaningful impact in our small-group lessons. Students are building vocabulary, practicing oral language, and strengthening their early literacy skills through playful, hands-on tasks that make learning accessible and engaging for every child. These boxes have quickly become a favorite part of our routine.\r\n\r\nOur new chair pockets and binder pencil pouches have been game changers for classroom organization. Students now have clearly defined spaces to store materials, which means less time searching for supplies and more time learning. For many of my students, having their own organized space gives them a sense of independence and pride—they feel like \"big kids\" ready to take on new challenges.\r\n\r\nTo spark creativity and joy, your donation also provided Flair pens, metallic pens, crayons, and journaling tools. My students absolutely light up when they get to use these special supplies for writing practice and storytelling. Meanwhile, the mini whiteboard erasers have made our small-group activities more seamless, keeping us ready for quick practice and interactive learning throughout the day.\r\n\r\nAnd of course, the treasure chest, squishies, fidgets, and birthday stickers have added a wonderful layer of celebration and motivation to our classroom. These incentives help encourage positive choices, perseverance, and effort—especially for students who benefit from an extra boost of encouragement.\r\n\r\nBecause of you, our classroom is more organized, more joyful, and more supportive of student success. Although DonorsChoose was unable to secure the Snap Circuits sets originally requested, your contributions allowed us to purchase additional Botley the Coding Robot kits—an incredible alternative that has brought even more hands-on STEM learning into our classroom.\r\n\r\nWith multiple Botley robots available, students in kindergarten through fourth grade had far more opportunities to experiment, collaborate, and engage deeply with coding concepts. The abundance of Botley kits meant that smaller groups could work closely together, taking turns programming the robot, troubleshooting challenges, and celebrating each successful sequence of commands. This greatly increased the amount of active learning time each student received—and the excitement in the room was contagious.\r\n\r\nBotley's screen-free coding design made it easy for students of all learning styles and experience levels to participate. They quickly began exploring loops, sequencing, cause-and-effect, and problem-solving skills as they created obstacle courses, programmed routes, and worked through coding challenges. For many students, this was their very first experience with robotics—and they absolutely lit up with confidence as they watched their code come to life.\r\n\r\nThese experiences were especially meaningful for students who have limited access to STEM resources outside of school. Your generosity made it possible for them to imagine themselves as programmers, engineers, and creators. The hands-on nature of the Botley sets encouraged teamwork, perseverance, and creative thinking—skills that will support them long beyond this summer program.\r\n\r\nThank you for believing in our learners, for giving them an engaging introduction to coding, and for helping us provide a STEM experience that was both joyful and transformative. Your support has filled our classroom with tools that invite curiosity, celebrate cultural diversity, and give every child—no matter their home language—a chance to express themselves proudly and confidently.\r\n\r\nThe new primary lined writing paper has helped my young writers practice forming letters and building words with greater accuracy, while our dry-erase boards and markers have become a daily favorite for quick writing practice, playful sentence-building, and risk-free experimentation. The magnetic sentence strips have opened doors for bilingual and multilingual expression, allowing students to construct and rearrange sentences across languages. It's been incredible to hear students excitedly share phrases they know in their home language and see classmates respond with genuine interest and respect.\r\n\r\nOur new LCD writing tablets have added an engaging, modern twist to writing practice. Students light up when they pick them up—writing, erasing, and trying again without hesitation. And the highlighters, crayons, and colorful construction paper have helped us lean into creativity as we make writing fun, vibrant, and connected to each child's identity.\r\n\r\nBecause of you, my students are not just learning early writing skills—they're learning that their voices matter. They are seeing their languages, cultures, and stories reflected in the classroom, and they are discovering the joy of sharing them with others. These materials have helped transform writing from a task into a bridge—one that brings students together, sparks conversations, and builds confidence one word at a time.\r\n\r\nThank you for believing in my students and for helping us create a learning environment where every child's language and culture are celebrated.
