The new resources you provided have opened up new avenues for hands-on learning and significantly boosted student engagement. Our classroom is buzzing with energy and curiosity, thanks to your support.\r\nMy students and I will soon be using the new materials (e.g., markers, colored pencils, laminator and button maker) often. Although we have not been able to work on our project the way we initially planned our project students anticipate the completion of them soon. The new materials have motivated and allowed them to begin to plan more complex and detailed work (Pins with a Purpose). Seeing them collaborate, troubleshoot, and meticulously plan their projects using these high-quality tools has been a remarkable moment, it will eventually turn the lessons into a tangible public endeavor.\r\nMy students and I will be able to use the new materials (e.g., markers, colored pencils, laminator and button maker)) frequently. A prime example occurred during our \"Pins with a Purpose\" project planning session. The students were tasked with planning their designs for the buttons. As one student stated, \"we are making our prototype\". The new materials will allow them to create power buttons that will make an impact on themselves and the school community. Seeing them collaborate, troubleshoot, and meticulously plan their projects using these high-quality tools has been a remarkable moment, which will eventually be visual representations of their positive affirmations. \r\nThe \"Pins with Purpose\" project is currently in progress and was delayed only by the lack of enough time we previously faced. Thanks to your donation, we are now ready to move forward without hindrance during our second semester. The next steps for the students are to put their plans to action and make tangible items to proudly display daily. They will then ware their pins (buttons), reflecting on the challenges and successes of planning and implementing the project to completion.\r\nYour contribution has made a profound difference in our learning environment, providing opportunities for creativity, problem-solving, and collaboration that were previously out of reach.\r\nThank you again for investing in our students' education.\r\nSincerely,\r\nSherri Banks\r\nGreenstreet Academy/Students with Disabilities Strategic Reading Class and English","fullyFundedDate":1755224283288,"projectUrl":"project/pins-with-purpose/9387304/","projectTitle":"Pins with Purpose","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Banks","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-10_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/ms-s-banks"},{"teacherId":1883275,"projectId":9645025,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your generous support of our DonorsChoose project! Middle school circulation really hasn't begun in earnest, so most of these circulations are with high school students--a demographic that many would say are the least likely readers. In my experience, though, the students at GSA love to read, and I am so happy to be able to provide these books for them in-house.
