My students come from all areas of Baltimore City. Nearly all of my students qualify for free and reduced lunches. My students come to school everyday and they thrive on hands-on activities! You can see their engagement and excitement with art projects, laboratory investigations, online learning, and hands on activities! My students always ask if they will be dissecting anything in my class; this year, I hope to tell them "yes!" Dissection is an engaging and authentic experience that my students are rarely able to do. Incorporating art and technology with other hands on activities and labs will allow my students to make real connections to what they are learning and perhaps inspire them to enter a career in science.
