At times, however, these students may experience stress, frustration, sensory needs, or difficulty maintaining focus while working through challenging tasks. Providing kinetic sand and sensory tools has given them meaningful strategies to help regulate, refocus, and remain engaged in their learning.\r\n\r\nThese materials have done much more than provide sensory experiences. They have created opportunities for students to explore concepts through hands-on learning, experiment with ideas, solve problems, and express their creativity. Open-ended materials encouraged students to think flexibly and approach challenges in ways that are meaningful to them. Sensory experiences can also supported students in managing emotions and developing the focus they need to persevere when learning becomes difficult.\r\n\r\nMost importantly, these resources have helped students recognize that their individual learning needs are not barriers to their success. By providing tools that allow them to feel comfortable, focused, and ready to learn, I hope to continue to help each student build confidence and recognize their own strengths.\r\n\r\nYour generosity has helped create a classroom where students can learn, explore, create, and grow in ways that honor who they are. Watching my students explain strategies to one another has reminded me that math isn't just about numbers; it's also about communication, problem-solving, and confidence. \r\n\r\nThanks to your generosity, my students now have tools that encourage exactly that kind of learning. The materials you provided: magnetic letters, numbers, and fraction tiles, give them hands-on opportunities to explore concepts, make mistakes, try again, and learn from each other along the way. The write-and-wipe pockets, laminating pouches, and dry-erase markers let them practice without worrying about mistakes because one quick swipe, and they get another chance. Most importantly, these materials give my students opportunities to learn together, explain their thinking, and discover that math doesn't have to be scary. Sometimes it just takes the right tools, a good friend, and a little detective work.\r\n\r\nThank you for believing in my students and helping us prove that math is definitely NOT a dirty four-letter word.","fullyFundedDate":1770319257537,"projectUrl":"project/math-is-not-a-dirty-four-letter-word/9932157/","projectTitle":"Math Is Not a Dirty Four-letter Word!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Jeanie","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-1_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10057080"},{"teacherId":9219333,"projectId":10196930,"letterContent":"Your generous donations have transformed the speech room into a place where curiosity, discovery, and outdoor exploration can thrive. Many students in Title I schools face food insecurity, which can negatively impact concentration, behavior, and overall learning readiness. By ensuring access to snacks, the classroom environment becomes more equitable, allowing all students to participate fully in instructional activities.\r\n\r\nIn addition, offering snacks during structured times such as Fun Friday helps build classroom community, reinforce positive behavior, and create a supportive and inclusive environment. Having simple, gentle options like saltine crackers readily available also addresses immediate physical needs, minimizing disruptions to learning and reducing time spent outside the classroom due to minor health concerns.\r\n\r\nOverall, this initiative promotes improved focus, increased instructional time, and enhanced student morale, directly contributing to a more positive and productive learning environment.","fullyFundedDate":1775779808467,"projectUrl":"project/classroom-snacks/9955345/","projectTitle":"Classroom Snacks","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Coppola","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9062149_orig.jpg?crop=1049,1049,x371,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1713032159967","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/jncoppola"},{"teacherId":246048,"projectId":9714451,"letterContent":"Your generous support through DonorsChoose has made an immediate and meaningful difference in our classroom. Instead of struggling to sit still, they can channel that energy into productive work.\r\n\r\nSince introducing the wiggle seats and cushions, I have seen noticeable improvements in attention, stamina, and overall classroom comfort.
