The new organizational resources have enabled us to keep our materials tidy, accessible, and ready for learning, making our classroom environment even more inviting and productive.\r\n\r\nOne of the most exciting ways we've used the new storage is in our recent spring birdhouse making project. With the storage bins and shelves, students could easily find the supplies they needed: wood pieces, paint, brushes, and glue, without confusion or clutter. During this hands-on activity, I observed my students confidently retrieve items, knowing exactly where each belonged and where it would be when they returned it. This organization streamlined our creative process and enabled everyone to focus on building and decorating their birdhouses, which are now proudly displayed in our courtyard for all to enjoy.\r\n\r\nWhen the materials first arrived, my students were confident, less stressed, and more willing to share! Their faces lit up as they explored the new storage spaces, and they expressed excitement about how much easier it would be to find and put away their supplies. Knowing that their materials had a specific home gave them a sense of responsibility and confidence. They no longer worried about losing or misplacing things, and they took pride in keeping our classroom orderly.\r\n\r\nYour support has truly transformed our daily routines. As we move forward, my students are working on a new science investigation project that will require them to reference and reuse many of the same materials. Thanks to our improved storage, they can do this independently and efficiently.\r\nWe look forward to sharing more of our learning adventures and creative projects, made possible by your generosity!","fullyFundedDate":1758202807084,"projectUrl":"project/storage-solutions-empowering-student-cr/9684637/","projectTitle":"Storage Solutions: Empowering Student Creativity","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Wilson","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9362723_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1705436234705","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9362723"},{"teacherId":9362723,"projectId":9684864,"letterContent":"The \"Don't Tip Me Over\" project has had an immediate and meaningful impact on our library by providing a variety of bookends. These new resources have helped us create a more organized and inviting classroom library, making it easier for students to find, display, and return books. One of my favorite moments came during our recent school project on the Harlem Renaissance, when students selected their favorite books from the shelves. This was a fast and enjoyable process, free of library anxiety, thanks to the new bookends, which made it easy to genrefy and promote the books. They proudly introduced their chosen stories to classmates, fostering a sense of ownership and excitement about reading.\r\n\r\nWhen the bookends first arrived, the students were genuinely excited to see the new displays and the books set around the library for checkout. Several exclaimed, \"Our library looks just like their favorite bookshop!\" They immediately started brainstorming creative ways to arrange the books and even suggested new reading corners. The arrival of these materials sparked a conversation about responsibility, as our work-study students took turns organizing and caring for the books and the new supplies. Checkout has increased by more than 50%, and students are selecting exciting new genres because it is easier for them to find new books. \r\n\r\nThanks to the donor's generosity, our students now have a more inclusive library that is both functional and inspiring. As we continue our current reading project, \"The Future is Yours to Write\", students are encouraged to read a variety of books to help them perfect their story and creative writing skills. Students will use the new bookends also to display their group selections and their completed book. The next step for our class is to research and present book recommendations to peers, further encouraging collaboration and a love of reading. Your support has made a lasting difference, and we can't wait to share our students' continued growth and achievements!","fullyFundedDate":1758202596316,"projectUrl":"project/dont-tip-me-over-a-bookend-project/9684864/","projectTitle":"Don't Tip Me Over- A Bookend Project","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Wilson","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9362723_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1705436234705","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9362723"},{"teacherId":9362723,"projectId":8860698,"letterContent":"The Botley robots and accesories have made a positive impact that the Botley Coding Robots have had on our students in the makerspace and library. These innovative tools are not just engaging; they transform how our students learn and interact with technology.\r\n\r\nThe Botley robots provide hands-on experience with coding and robotics, which are vital skills in today's digital world. This technology fosters critical thinking and problem solving, as students learn to program the robots to complete specific tasks. By debugging their code and finding solutions to challenges, they develop perseverance and creativity, essential traits for any learner.\r\n\r\nWhat excites our students the most about the Botley robots is the interactive nature of their learning. Instead of passively receiving information, they actively participate in the learning process. The thrill of seeing a robot respond to its commands ignites its curiosity and motivates it to explore further. The joy expressed during coding sessions is palpable as they collaborate to create new ways to instruct the robots, transforming abstract concepts into tangible experiences.\r\n\r\nWe've noticed a particular enthusiasm from students who may not have traditionally excelled in academic settings. These students often shine when allowed to engage with technology hands on. They have shown remarkable growth in confidence as they take ownership of their projects and proudly share their creations with peers. For instance, one student, who previously struggled to participate in his computer science class, has taken on a leadership role, guiding classmates through programming tasks and celebrating their successes together.\r\n\r\nThe Botley Coding Robots have enriched our curriculum and empowered our students. They are learning valuable skills in a fun and engaging way while building confidence and cooperation among peers. They are not just passively consuming information but actively participating, experimenting, and practically exploring concepts. This approach enhances their understanding of complex STEM topics directly dealing with coding directions and commands, making abstract ideas more tangible and relatable.\r\n\r\nOne of the most exciting aspects for my students is the creative freedom that these tools provide for other projects in math, art, and physics. Whether using robots or investigating how the materials work, they feel empowered to bring their ideas to life. This creative aspect has sparked their imagination and encouraged them to think outside the box. The smiles on their faces when they complete a task or see their robots in action are truly priceless!\r\n\r\nSeveral students have particularly thrived with these new technologies. For instance, one student who has always struggled with traditional subjects found a renewed sense of purpose and confidence through using the coding robots. Seeing them take the initiative to lead a group project was amazing, as was guiding their peers and sharing ideas. Another student, who is typically shy, has opened up and embraced challenges with the robots, showcasing leadership and collaboration skills previously unseen.\r\n\r\nOverall, this project has done more than provide technology; it has cultivated a sense of community, a passion for learning, and a belief in their capabilities. I am grateful for the support that has made this possible, and I am excited to witness my students' continued growth and success as they navigate an increasingly technology-driven world.","fullyFundedDate":1739648010976,"projectUrl":"project/one-line-of-code-at-a-time/8862829/","projectTitle":"One Line of Code at a Time","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Wilson","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9362723_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1705436234705","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9362723"},{"teacherId":9362723,"projectId":8890845,"letterContent":"Feminine hygiene products profoundly impact the self-esteem and school attendance of girls who previously lacked access to these essential items. Providing girls with the necessary hygiene products removes a significant barrier affecting their confidence and dignity. Many adolescent girls feel anxious or embarrassed during menstruation when they do not have the proper products, leading to absences from school. This project has helped empower girls to attend classes regularly without fear of discomfort or stigma by ensuring they have the necessary resources.\r\n\r\n This initiative provided feminine hygiene products and included lessons on self-advocacy. When students first saw the baskets filled with menstrual products and sanitary bags, wipes, and signs, their reactions were overwhelmingly positive. Many students expressed relief and gratitude, sharing that they often felt embarrassed or unprepared during their periods. This resource gave them a sense of security, knowing they wouldn't have to miss school due to a lack of supplies.\r\n\r\nAs we progressed with this project, the girls took on leadership roles. They shared the project with other students and raised awareness about menstrual health. This experience enhanced their understanding of the topic and significantly boosted their confidence.\r\n\r\nOur next step is to involve the school nurse in speaking with the students and providing additional resources, thus fostering an open conversation about a topic that often remains private. The empowerment we're witnessing in our classroom is inspiring, and I am excited to continue promoting awareness and self-advocacy among our students.","fullyFundedDate":1736972500186,"projectUrl":"project/empower-girls-boost-attendance-with/8890845/","projectTitle":"Empower Girls & Boost Attendance: With Feminine Hygiene Products!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Wilson","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9362723_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1705436234705","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9362723"},{"teacherId":9362723,"projectId":8890906,"letterContent":"The impact of donors providing hygiene items to students has been truly transformative.
