The students were very excited to open up the boxes of gardening gloves, shovels, and LED indoor grow lights. We've already started sprouting some of the seeds that were donated; so far we've grown some indoor cherry tomato plants, lettuces, sugar snap peas, and jalapenos! \r\n\r\nAnother project we just wrapped up was a herb sale. We saved, cleaned, and painted about 50 recycled glass jars, then planted them with either basil, parsley, sage or oregano. Once these herbs had reached maturity, we sold them throughout the school as our first fundraiser so that we can continue to expand our indoor gardening space. \r\n\r\nWe're so excited to continue gardening!
