This project transforms abstract concepts into real-world experiences, allowing students to see science and technology in action.\r\n\r\nThrough drone-based activities, students learn key STEM skills such as data collection, measurement, coding basics, problem-solving, and critical thinking. They use drones to explore physics concepts like motion, force, and energy; apply mathematics through mapping, distance, and speed calculations; and engage in engineering practices by planning flights and troubleshooting technical challenges.\r\n\r\nMost importantly, the project increases student engagement and confidence. Students who once struggled with traditional instruction are now excited to participate, collaborate, and ask questions. The use of drones sparks curiosity, encourages teamwork, and introduces learners to emerging technologies and potential STEM careers.\r\n\r\nYour support is helping students become innovative thinkers, responsible technology users, and future-ready problem solvers. Your support has made a meaningful and lasting impact on our science program and, most importantly, on our students' learning experiences.\r\n\r\nBecause of your generosity, students now have the opportunity to explore the night sky firsthand—observing the Moon's craters, the phases of planets, and distant stars and constellations. Concepts that were once abstract in textbooks have become real, engaging, and inspiring. The telescope has transformed our astronomy lessons into hands-on investigations that spark curiosity, critical thinking, and a genuine excitement for science.\r\n\r\nMany of our students had never looked through a professional telescope before. Now, they are asking deeper questions about space, physics, and the universe, and some are even expressing interest in future studies and careers in STEM fields. Your gift has helped nurture wonder, confidence, and a love of learning that will stay with them far beyond the classroom.\r\n\r\nWe are deeply grateful for your investment in our students and for believing in the power of education. This telescope will continue to benefit generations of learners, serving as a reminder that community support can truly expand young minds—quite literally to the stars.\r\n\r\nThank you once again for your generosity and commitment to our students' success.","fullyFundedDate":1742956058618,"projectUrl":"project/steam-lunar-new-year-explore-the-luna/9052003/","projectTitle":"STEAM Lunar New Year! - Explore the Lunar Phases","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. Jade STEAM","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9465782_orig.jpg?crop=868,868,x0,y23&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1714857768214","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9465782"},{"teacherId":10252843,"projectId":9704404,"letterContent":"First, thank you so much for donating to this project. It was a huge help to our music department, especially at the beginning of the year when momentum is so important to keep students engaged. \r\nThese materials are used in daily Orchestra and Band Rehearsals by the students in our music department. To be able to have enough reeds for Band students, or rosin and shoulder rests for Orchestra students, lets us, the teachers, focus more on instruction and the music. \r\nIn Orchestra, students had been sharing their different Violin method books and they were so excited when I passed out the new method books and they each were able to have their own copy. This allowed students to bring the books home to practice as well as be able to make notes in their own copies of the books. \r\nWe're going to continue to build up what we have as far as supplies, since of course some items like reeds and rosin, do occasionally run out. So we may have another project in the future with similar items but also can now start to do things like increase our music library!","fullyFundedDate":1760693805635,"projectUrl":"project/making-music/9704404/","projectTitle":"Making Music!","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Lottes","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-2_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10252843"},{"teacherId":9465782,"projectId":9017905,"letterContent":"t is a good thing that students have additional tools and supplies like these that help them focus, concentrate and engage in our classroom activities.
