These books are a key part of engaging my students in literacy. Every Monday and Friday, we begin our Language Arts class with silent reading during which students can choose books from our classroom library if they don't bring books from home. Most of my students choose from our library. I have seen firsthand how representative books have excited my students about reading. They have specifically requested books from me that speak to their interests and experiences, and all I want is to deliver. As their teacher, it is my job and passion to encourage their interest and exploration! Help me provide my students with new and engaging literature!
