These materials may seem simple, but they are used intentionally and consistently to help students engage with content, reflect on their thinking, and take ownership of their learning.\r\n\r\nAnchor chart paper allows us to create co-constructed anchor charts that represent student ideas, strategies, and discussions in real time. Because students help build these charts, they see their own thinking reflected and are more likely to use them as meaningful tools rather than decorations. These charts remain posted and are referenced across lessons, supporting independence and reinforcing concepts long after the lesson ends.\r\n\r\nSticky notes provide an easy and low-pressure way for students to show what they know. They are used for exit tickets, quick reflections, questions, and note-taking, allowing every student to participate and giving me valuable insight into their understanding. This immediate feedback helps guide instruction and ensures students feel heard in the learning process.\r\n\r\nExpo markers are an essential part of math instruction, allowing students to work through problems on their communicators, share strategies, and revise their thinking. This encourages risk-taking and discussion while making student thinking visible. Together, these restocked supplies help create an interactive, responsive classroom where students actively engage in their learning each day.","fullyFundedDate":1765904405869,"projectUrl":"project/restock-essential-supplies/9961658/","projectTitle":"Restock Essential Supplies","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Widmier","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9007140_orig.jpg?crop=1246,1246,x440,y766&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1714078294003","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9007140"},{"teacherId":9007140,"projectId":9874097,"letterContent":"While we have not yet held our end-of-year auction, our students were given a preview of the incredible items that will be available—and the excitement was immediate and contagious.
