Having a cozy, defined space has helped students feel more connected and focused during lessons.\r\n\r\nWhen the rug arrived, the excitement was contagious! The students immediately wanted to sit on it and said things like, \"It's so soft!\" and \"Now we have a real meeting spot!\" (Before our rug arrived, students were sitting on the chilly floor.) It was amazing to see how something as simple as a rug could transform the room to feel more welcoming and complete.\r\n\r\nNow that our rug has created a warm and inviting space, we're working toward adding more flexible seating options. The next goal is to give students even more choice in how and where they learn — whether that's curling up with a book, collaborating on a project, or finding a quiet corner to think. Using the larger bags we got as headphone bags makes listening to audio books easy for our students who enjoy being read to and want to here books above their reading abilities.\r\n Teaching reading is my passion!
