The students are now able to see so many more forward-facing books. It is great to be able to put books out there; they may never even know we had them in the library. With all of the new book stands, I can rotate books on the stands every day or week. The students are able to quickly find and decide if they like a book just by looking at the cover. What a difference the extra stands are making for our library checkouts. I think the biggest impact has been getting older books out for the children to see.\r\n\r\nThank you especially to the Bezos Foundation for supporting our students with funding for this project.","fullyFundedDate":1769192047153,"projectUrl":"project/books-stands-for-spe-library/9955956/","projectTitle":"Books Stands for SPE Library","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. Wilson","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-1_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10382421"},{"teacherId":10335993,"projectId":9865192,"letterContent":"Thank you for your generous support in proving our classroom with new supplies that help to foster the growing independence of first graders!\r\n\r\nThe chair pockets were an instant hit with the students as they quickly transferred their work books and ipads into their OWN space! Since receiving them, we have had significantly less lost papers and ripped pages in our books. Students can quickly grab what they need from their personal space and are no longer competing to get their supplies first or wasting learning time by searching for lost workbooks.\r\n\r\nStudents were equally as excited to have their own sharper and new white boards and glue sticks. Students now are in charge of a \"colored pencil\" station in the classroom where they can sharpen and sort the colored pencils as needed. Our new whiteboards are in perfect condition and for the first time this year can easily be erased after use! \r\n\r\nAll of these these small moments/successes are what brings amazing joy to a first grade child!
