One child in particular was absolutely IN LOVE with them! The moment he saw the marble runs, his face lit up, and he literally jumped up and down with joy. Seeing that excitement was such a powerful reminder of why providing students with hands-on materials that connect to their interests is so important. The marble runs quickly became a favorite activity and gave our students opportunities to explore, create, problem-solve, and experience the joy of learning through play.\r\n\r\nWe also had several students who loved assembling and disassembling the marble runs again and again. Having more than one marble run allowed multiple students to engage with the materials at the same time and, most importantly, allowed each child to use them in the way that best matched their interests and needs. Some students focused on building, while others enjoyed taking things apart and figuring out how they worked. Watching our students follow their curiosity, work independently, and share their excitement with their classmates was incredibly rewarding.
