Pre-K students learn best through play. The Dramatic Play area is an important part of the classroom where students a free to practice social skills, develop cognitive concepts, and manage emotional development. They will be able to practice self-regulation and learn conflict resolution. With a laundry center, toy shopping cart, pretend food sets, and pet vet play set students will be able to act out stories they have read. These items will support our curriculum and align our focus read alouds. Students will be explicitly taught how to use the material and then free use their own imagination. It is important to have materials that are sturdy, easy to clean, and high-quality.
