They are colorful and \"touchable\" and inspire creative thinking and hands-on doing in a variety of ways. From illustrating the impact of the seasons on our local trees to inventing characters inspired by the books they are reading, the possibilities are endless. Their 3-D nature brings concepts to life.\r\n\r\nThe needlepoint kits are popular during read aloud and as a break/reward. The poster is a favorite activity for small groups to work on - to casually chat while they color and learn about the features of different continents. \r\n\r\nI will be partnering with our GT teacher to bring the needlepoint kits to even more classes. By the end of the year, each student will have a sampler to take home!\r\n\r\nAgain, thank you so much. Having a table means there is a shared responsibility in caring for it and keeping it neat, another way classroom community is building here in third grade.\r\n\r\nI wish you could have seen the kids' faces when the table was built for them!
