With the supplies purchased, we have been able to add several additional storage lockers for students who play large instruments such as tuba, bari saxophone, tenor saxophone, and euphonium. The guitars and ukuleles are now neatly hung up on our walls to ensure that students can get them for class easily. We would also like to thank our wonderful maintenance person, Dan, who built and hung up our hangers.\r\n\r\nWith the guitars and curriculum books that were purchased, we have been able to redo and refresh our guitar unit completely. Students are now learning all new songs, chords, and are working together in small groups with the new guitars provided. Students used the materials to demonstrate their understanding of Newton's First, Second, and Third Law of motion. We were able to use the launchers with the ping pong balls that were part of the kit, as well as our own LEGO creations.\r\n\r\nAs you can imagine, eighth graders were very excited to use any tool that allowed them to launch items around the classroom!
