With your generosity, my students have had the access to working headphones for in- class assignments and read- aloud accommodations for state testing. The fraction magnets have allowed me to work one- on -one with students to support them in intervening where they do not understand. Lastly, the chair caddies have been a tremendous help for organization. They have allowed students to store the binders and other materials they carry from class to class somewhere other than their table- tops, allowing them room for more workspace and concentration! Your generosity has truly been a blessing to my students and to me. I am so grateful you gave me the opportunity to give these things to them this year. \r\n\tWhen they first arrived, my students were immediately curious! They grew excited when they saw they had new, working headphones to be able to use for their Zearn, Lexia, and read- aloud on tests! Using headphones was no longer a chore. The fraction bars were a hit! Students were able to better grasp the concept, and even ask me to use them on their own as well! The chair caddies were by far the things that caught their attention most. They were eager to put their names on the name plates, and love using them to store their things for class time. The excitement and pride they felt knowing someone wanted to donate to their class beat any monetary or material donation I could have received.","fullyFundedDate":1769192002869,"projectUrl":"project/listen-and-learn/9952005/","projectTitle":"Listen and Learn!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Hernandez","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-7_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10379332"},{"teacherId":7951013,"projectId":8639943,"letterContent":"We were fortunate to receive a donation of headphones for our classroom last year, and we are still using them this year. Instead of simple flashcards or timed tests, students now roll their dice, call out products, and strategize together. This small change has made a big difference in engagement — they're more eager to participate and less afraid of making mistakes.\r\n\r\nThrough these hands-on games, students have begun to recognize number patterns and develop mental math strategies naturally. They're learning to think flexibly and explain their reasoning — key components of mathematical fluency. Our math block is now filled with laughter, collaboration, and that wonderful \"aha!\" energy every teacher hopes to see.\r\n\r\nBecause of this project, I've been able to create a more interactive, student-driven learning environment.
