Chromebooks can be used across the curriculum. One of the main ways that I plan on using these 10 Chromebooks is in my literature classes. My students love reading new literature since we began doing literature circles in my class. My fourth grade students are divided into literature circle groups of 5 or 6. Each group reads a novel they have chosen. During this novel reading, students complete an entire novel study analyzing characters and events, researching authors and connected information, and completing a cumulative group project. Currently, we only have 1 Chromebook in my classroom and a few desk top computers. Having Chromebooks would allow the students to move about the classroom as needed. Chromebooks are also perfect for sharing documents and allowing the group of students to access the document and edit as needed. I would love to give my students the opportunity to not only love literature, but to be able to share their love and knowledge with others outside of their literature circle groups. Chromebooks would allow my students this opportunity.
