What may seem like just a rug to some has become the heart of our classroom community.\r\n\r\nIn kindergarten, students spend a large portion of their day gathered together on the carpet for read-alouds, phonics lessons, morning meetings, small group discussions, movement activities, and social-emotional learning. Unfortunately, our previous rug had become worn down and difficult to maintain, which affected both comfort and cleanliness in our learning space.\r\n\r\nOur new rug immediately brought excitement, pride, and joy into the classroom. Students are more eager to participate during carpet time, and the space now feels warm, welcoming, and organized. The rug has helped create a cleaner and more comfortable environment where students can focus, collaborate, and build foundational learning skills together.\r\n\r\nFor many of my students, school is their safe place, and having a cozy, inviting classroom matters more than words can express. Your support reminded my students that people care about their education and their learning experience.
