Both types of sensory strips have been applied to my students' desks to help with focus and emotional regulation. \r\n\r\nOur art posters help decorate our classroom & provide visuals (so important for SPED) for our students to understand complementary colors, analogous colors, and elements of art like value. \r\n\r\nThe textured, stretchy fidgets help keep my students regulated too & help with focus for our lessons. \r\n\r\nMy favorite item so far has been my storage clipboard. It's so helpful to keep my lesson plans, blank lesson plan sheets, and necessary sheets for the day all in one place with room for pencils, pens, and highlighters. I was able to use the rice crispy treats as a tangible, sensory experience to connect the lesson to real world experiences. This was a tasty way to explain this main commodity of Louisiana agriculture. \r\n\r\nWhen my students realized I had snacks to hand out, they were shocked & thought that I had provided them myself. Once I explained that these snacks were donated, I could see how special that made my students feel. \r\n\r\nWe have more rice crispy treats on the way, and this is an excellent way to keep students motivated and in the green zone so we can get to learning.
