We no longer use textbooks. Today's classrooms depend heavily on technology. Teachers use computers and promethean boards for every lesson. Students use Chromebooks for remedial and enrichment activities. Devices need to be charged every other day at a minimum.\r\n School districts provide the Chromebooks, but leave it up to us teachers as to how we go about organizing storage and charging them. The problem is, these homemade arrangements take up a lot of space and cords become a tangled mess.\r\n This is why I was so excited that you were willing to donate a charging chart to my classroom. It's made a huge difference in storage. It keeps the cords neatly organized, it can hold more Chromebooks, and for me, the cart sits out of the way in the back of the room. The students love it because they can slip their Chromebook into their slot and plug it in easily. No more hunting spaces and cords. Quick and easy. Its even given us time back into our day. It's working beautifully.","fullyFundedDate":1757955234854,"projectUrl":"project/help-keep-the-power-we-need-a-chromeboo/9525722/","projectTitle":"Help Keep the Power: We Need a Chromebook Charging Station!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Dalrymple","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-5_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10107029"},{"teacherId":10108868,"projectId":9528673,"letterContent":"The materials I was able to obtain with this project have meant the world to me and my students. I was able to get my hands on more flexible seating for my SPED students. They love getting to come to my classroom that was designed with them in mind. So often, they get pushed into situations and spaces that are meant for neurotypical kids, and they do their best to adapt, but having a space where they can be themselves and is meant for them, is incredible.\r\n Along with flexible seating, I was able to get some lighting. The harsh overhead lighting in schools and classrooms even make my head hurt. I cannot even imagine how some of my SPED students feel when everything can be overstimulating. These new lights bring a cozy ambiance that allow for lower lights. The atmosphere is much calmer. \r\nI am so grateful for your donations to my project. This is making my school year shine! My jaw hit the floor when I had received the news that my project was fully funded. My students were so excited when I told them about the \"fun chairs\" that would be coming in the mail. Even the General Education students ask to come hang out in this room, opening the door for more inclusion!","fullyFundedDate":1757955235085,"projectUrl":"project/building-up-my-sped-classroom/9528673/","projectTitle":"Building up my SPED Classroom","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Pierce","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-5_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10108868"},{"teacherId":2574469,"projectId":8515155,"letterContent":"Thank You so much for you generous contribution to the learning of my fifth graders.
