On the last week of school, every student went home with a brand-new book to keep and share with their family. Because we serve a large multilingual community, our Spanish-speaking families were especially thrilled to see both Spanish and English integrated into the text. Many parents also mentioned how closely the story resonated with their own cultural backgrounds.\r\n\r\nSince returning this fall, several students have mentioned how much they enjoyed reading the book over the summer. A few parents shared that while summer was too busy for reading, *Juana & Lucas* is at the top of their list for the new school year. Families were overjoyed to learn they didn't have to return the book, and some are already planning to pass it down to younger siblings. It has also been wonderful to watch the students connect with one another as they bond over having read the same story.\r\n\r\nThank you so much for making this experience possible for our students and families. The early learning games give students a fun, hands-on way to practice important academic skills such as letters, numbers, colors, matching, and problem-solving.\r\nWhen students first saw the new materials, they were excited to explore the colorful books and games. The hands-on activities helped make learning feel fun and approachable, and students were especially excited to choose activities that interested them. These small celebrations have helped build confidence and motivation while reminding students that their hard work matters.\r\n\r\nWhen the students first saw the new materials, they were excited and eager to explore them. The rewards gave them something positive to work toward, while the learning activities immediately sparked curiosity and participation. Students who may sometimes be hesitant to engage in traditional lessons were more willing to participate when learning felt fun and rewarding.\r\n\r\nOur next steps are to continue using these resources during small-group instruction, intervention, and skill-building activities.
