We are a high-poverty school, with over 85% of the students qualifying for free and reduced lunch. The students are from an urban setting with many not receiving enough physical activity at home. Despite the many challenges that my students and their families face, they are beautiful, hard-working and deserving of the enrichment that comes from the integration of music and physical activity as a part of our learning environment.

About my class
