So much of our math learning relies on our i-Ready curriculum, where students work independently through their personalized MyPath lessons on the computer. Before your gift, students without headphones struggled to hear the spoken word problems and step-by-step audio explanations, and they were constantly pulled off-task by the noise of a busy room. Now, my 5th graders can plug in, tune out distractions, and dive into their math work. They were especially thrilled by how comfortable the headphones are, and they love using the clipboards to solve scratch-pad math problems while sitting on the rug or using flexible seating.\r\n\r\nThese tools have made a life-changing difference for my students who struggle with focus or math anxiety. One student in particular used to get overwhelmed during i-Ready MyPath lessons and assessments because background chatter made it impossible to process multi-step problems, leading to real frustration. The first time we used the new headphones, that student plugged in, took a deep breath, and powered through their math lessons with total confidence and zero stress.
