These new organizational resources are already helping create a classroom environment where students can feel confident, prepared, and ready to learn each day. As I prepare for the upcoming school year and transition back into a third grade classroom, these materials are allowing me to thoughtfully set up systems and routines that will help students become more independent from the very beginning.\r\n\r\nThe plastic book bins are helping create organized spaces for student materials, while the dry erase sleeves and sheet protectors are making it easy to prepare reusable activities for reading, math, and small group instruction. I've already started organizing hands-on practice activities, skill review pages, and interactive lessons that students will be able to use throughout the year. Having these materials ready ahead of time means students will spend less time waiting for supplies and more time actively engaged in learning.\r\n\r\nI know my students will be excited when they walk into a classroom that feels welcoming, organized, and ready for them. Small details like individual supply spaces, interactive materials, and clear routines help students feel comfortable and successful. These resources will support everything from independent work and partner activities to whole class lessons and intervention groups.\r\n\r\nYour generosity is helping create a classroom where students can focus, participate, and grow academically and socially every single day. They are eager to learn, creative, and do their best when they feel confident and prepared with the tools they need at their fingertips. When materials are easy to find and access, students can focus on learning instead of searching for supplies or waiting for help.\r\n\r\nMy goal is to create an organized classroom environment that builds independence and maximizes learning time.\r\nAs I transition from a STEM position back into a general classroom, I need to rebuild essential systems that support daily routines. The storage bins and magazine holders will create clearly labeled spaces for materials, while the mesh pouches will keep small group activities and student supplies organized and ready to use. These tools will help students take ownership of their learning and move through the day with confidence.\r\n\r\nThe markers and writing tools will be used daily for lessons, activities, and creative projects that keep students engaged. Having reliable, high-quality supplies ensures that every student can fully participate without limitations. An organized classroom creates a calm, focused environment where students feel successful, and these resources will help make that possible from day one.","fullyFundedDate":1776798412505,"projectUrl":"project/ready-set-learn-organized-supplies-fo/10190437/","projectTitle":"Ready, Set, Learn: Organized Supplies for Student Success","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Nelson","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp1477362_orig.jpg?crop=363,363,x0,y50&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1708705280383","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/mrs-h-nelson"},{"teacherId":1477362,"projectId":7047021,"letterContent":"Because of your generosity, my students now have a cozy, inviting space where reading truly comes to life. Our new reading rug has quickly become one of the most loved spots in the classroom. Students are eager to grab a book, settle in, and fully immerse themselves in their reading.\r\n\r\nWhen the rug was first introduced, their excitement was immediate. They couldn't wait to use it, and it instantly created a sense of comfort and community during our reading time. What used to feel like a routine part of the day now feels special, and I've seen even reluctant readers more willing to pick up a book and stay engaged.\r\n\r\nWe use the rug daily during independent reading, partner reading, and read-aloud time. It has helped create an environment where students feel relaxed, focused, and excited about books. Many of my students now look forward to sharing what they are reading, and they take pride in getting \"lost\" in their stories.\r\n\r\nMoving forward, we will continue building strong reading habits, increasing stamina, and deepening comprehension through meaningful discussions and shared reading experiences. This space has become more than just a place to sit. It is where confidence grows and a love of reading is nurtured every single day.\r\n\r\nThank you for making this possible for my students and for supporting our classroom in such a meaningful way.","fullyFundedDate":1671564024650,"projectUrl":"project/get-lost-in-a-great-book/7047021/","projectTitle":"Get Lost In a Great Book","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Nelson","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp1477362_orig.jpg?crop=363,363,x0,y50&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1708705280383","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/mrs-h-nelson"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_20695","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":268,"numTeachers":25,"percentFrplEligible":67,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":0,"percentWhite":96,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":0,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","percentHawaiianImputed":0,"percentMultiracialImputed":3,"gradesServed":"Pre-K - 5","studentTeacherRatio":"10.7:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"RURAL","ncesMetroType":"RURAL_DISTANT"},"inStateSupporters":74.7,"schoolId":20695,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Winslow Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Winslow Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/indiana/pike-county-school-corporation/winslow-elementary-school/20695"}
