Your generosity made it possible. I teach kindergarten through fourth grade, and even my oldest students were very excited to learn and create with our new building materials. I will be able to use many of the materials you provided to enrich the STEM curriculum our township uses.\r\n\r\nYour generosity also provided new shelving for these new building supplies. Students were very excited to see how the classroom is neatly organized now that our project supplies are easy to find.\r\n\r\nMy students in third and fourth grade were also very interested in hearing how Donors Choose works. I think they were emotionally impacted (in a good way) knowing that people they have never met want to help them have a good year at school.\r\n\r\nThank you again so much.\r\nJennifer Ryan","fullyFundedDate":1746654826505,"projectUrl":"project/stem-room-essentials/9302887/","projectTitle":"STEM Room Essentials","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Ryan","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp3671365_orig.png?crop=320,320,x0,y21&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1746043706042","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/3671365"},{"teacherId":101308,"projectId":8529258,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for you generous contribution to our classroom. We have used our STEM bins in the classroom everyday. They are used in the morning when students come into the classroom. Students will eat breakfast and then get bins out. Bins are changed weekly so they have the chance to work on their project for the whole week before switching to a new STEM activity. \r\nI have noticed that in the morning, students come in calmer and more relaxed. They are not rushed into work and it allows them to get ready for the day. I also have calm music playing for them. \r\nAgain, thank you for your generous donation. Many students who we service in 4th were in the primary years of their education journey. The impact of the pandemic has definitely caused students to lack foundational skills and application in math. \r\nUsing your donations I have been able to give students a more hands on approach to math. Students are manipulating with fractions, numbers and shapes. Students are applying their learning to real world applications. \r\nFor one example, we were working on finding equivalent fractions. Students were able to use actual fractions strips to see how to make equivalent fractions. This was helpful before teaching them any algorithm. After testing students I saw an increase in their understanding of representing fractions and their models. We then took our learning of fractions and carried out recipes in class. Students need continue experiences with hands on math in varies of modalities.","fullyFundedDate":1729962077254,"projectUrl":"project/hands-on-math/8528491/","projectTitle":"Hands-on Math","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Lambert","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp2379607_orig.jpg?crop=1958,1958,x652,y446&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1563331445069","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/tlambert"},{"teacherId":9160026,"projectId":8682377,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your generous donation to our classroom. When we opened each package together the countless \"Wow's\" I heard from my students spoke to the impact our project has. We truly couldn't wait to use each and every resource that we recieved. We use our new resources in our reading small group time. Students enjoy using the \"Alphabet Cones\" to match their lowercase and uppercase letters and pretend they are eating ice cream. \r\n\r\nMy next steps for my students are to continue to help them become successful learners who are confident readers and writers.
