With nearly 700 students from kindergarten through fifth grade coming through our art room, having high-quality, reliable art supplies makes a huge difference. These Twistables will give my students the opportunity to draw, experiment, blend colors, and create without worrying about constantly sharpening broken crayons. Your support helps ensure that every student has the tools they need to be successful and confident in the art room.\r\n\r\nYour donation will make an impact far beyond a box of crayons. My goal is to create an art classroom where students feel comfortable taking creative risks, exploring different materials, and discovering that there is no single \"right\" way to make art. These crayons will be used by students across all grade levels for everything from skill-building activities to open-ended creative projects. Our athletes work hard both on and off the field, and having quality, reliable equipment will allow them to make the most of every practice and maximize their growth throughout the season.\r\n\r\nThe equipment will be used by our players throughout the season for practices, skill development, conditioning, and team-building activities. It will help create more opportunities for athletes to improve their fundamentals, learn to work together, and develop the perseverance, communication, and leadership skills that extend far beyond the soccer field.\r\n\r\nMost importantly, this project will show our student-athletes that their school and community believe in them. By giving them the tools to succeed, we are investing not only in better soccer players, but in confident, hardworking young men who understand the value of teamwork, dedication, and never giving up.","fullyFundedDate":1781366722816,"projectUrl":"project/soccer-please/10334093/","projectTitle":"Soccer? Instead of wandering aimlessly, they could quickly find mystery, fantasy, realistic fiction, or adventure stories that matched their interests. I watched students recommend books to one another, proudly explain where certain genres were located, and take ownership of keeping the shelves neat. It has been inspiring to see how much joy they get from finding just the right book.\r\n\r\nOur next step is continuing to build this culture of ownership and independent reading in the upper fiction section. With clearly labeled bins, students are learning how books are organized by genre and are practicing making thoughtful reading choices. We are beginning a genre exploration activity where students will try a new genre and share book talks with classmates. Because of this project, our library is becoming more than just a place to check out books — it is becoming a space where curiosity, independence, and a genuine love of reading continue to grow.","fullyFundedDate":1764736209084,"projectUrl":"project/bins-and-books-helping-students-find-th/9809048/","projectTitle":"Bins and Books: Helping Students Find Their Next Great Read","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Kemp","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/272x272/tp2733875_272x272.jpg?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1473814422987","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/2733875"},{"teacherId":609572,"projectId":9699161,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for supporting our elementary art classroom and helping us receive a class set of tempera paint sticks!
