The students were so excited! They were mostly excited about the sensory stickers as we have Bio ilearn coming up, and test taking has looked very different in high school than it did in middle school. They have started using the stickers already for testing as we just ended quarter three and many of them have noted how they love having them to help them focus and calm down. \r\nMy students also were very appreciative of the feminine products and the snacks which we were able to share over half of with our student success office so that students outside of my class also have access to them! The success office staff were overjoyed and so thankful! We have two staff for our whole school and they were donating out of their own pockets to the snack closet which is amazing, but this is very helpful to them! I also now am able to bring some snacks on our Dune Ecology Field Trip for students who aren't able to pack their own to provide themselves with back up. \r\nAs we begin to move towards the end of this year, frog dissections are coming up and the cleaning wipes are going to be more than necessary, and we also have finals nearing in the next couple of months which the lined paper will be used for study guides and doodle notes.\r\n As for the gift card, I am beyond ready to dig into some new projects on TPT for our ecology unit, and the students are excited to see what their next few labs are going to be! This donation has really been able to broaden our abilities just in time for our upcoming units and events! We just recently became birds for a day and had to quickly gather our food ( foam dice) with our beaks ( made from school supplies) before the other birds got to it first! It was an evolution game and it was so much fun! For ecology we also will be other organisms for a day as we go on our bio field trip and we decide why we are native in the dune like environment we will be exploring! \r\n\r\nA huge and warm thank you to our donors & to donors choose!","fullyFundedDate":1772754941832,"projectUrl":"project/new-year-new-needs/10006324/","projectTitle":"New Year- New Needs","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. M","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp10396885_orig.jpg?crop=1440,1440,x0,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1768364395425","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10396885"},{"teacherId":10306788,"projectId":10056927,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your generous donation to our classroom. Their faces lit up with joy and curiosity as they discovered the wonderful items inside. They were incredibly grateful and immediately began talking about how they could use everything.\r\n\r\nThe materials you provided will make a meaningful difference in our classroom. Students will use these items to support their learning, explore new ideas, and stay engaged during lessons. Your generosity helps create opportunities for hands-on learning and encourages creativity and collaboration.\r\n\r\nIn addition, many of the items will be used during our students' rewarded break time. This allows them to relax, recharge, and enjoy the resources you so thoughtfully donated while celebrating their hard work and positive behavior.\r\n\r\nThank you again for believing in our students and investing in their success. My class takes the use beyond where not just paper comes out but wonderful creations. \r\n\r\nOur first project was embroidery. Students were able to print their design using our new laser printer. Then they trasfered the design to the fabric by either tracing or rubbing the print on. What I really enjoyed about this project is that I had students that had never tried embroidering before that ended up completely addicted and very good at it. \r\n\r\nOur second project so far, was button making. They had so much fun creating buttons out of silly pictures and sayings and characters. They would choose their images and then create the size and shape in Cricut. Then they would print them on our new laser printer and Cricut would cut them out. Then they used our button makers to seal them. It was a huge hit. \r\n\r\nOur last project before this message was sent was to make stickers. They did waterproof stickers so they could put them on their waterbottles and chromebooks. In the same aspect, they designed their stickers. We used Canva to edit and then Print and Cut in Cricut where they were printed from the new laser printer. We also used the sticker paper that was purchased in our gift. This became addicting and I finally had to put a maximum on how many each could make. \r\n\r\nOur next project will be creating shirt designs using the printable transfer paper along with the Cricut to design and the new laser printer to print then Cricut to cut and cricut press to attach to the shirts. They can't wait for that project next month. \r\n\r\nSo thank you again for this wonderful oppurtunity to let students create and make these amazing things. We truly appreciate it.","fullyFundedDate":1764787919747,"projectUrl":"project/create-imagination/9912760/","projectTitle":"Create Imagination","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Steinhiser","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-9_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10358737"},{"teacherId":9132288,"projectId":9912886,"letterContent":"Prior to this donation being filled, I only had one charger in my classroom. This made it so difficult for multiple students if their chromebooks were not charged. It can really disrupt the classroom momentum and even stop some students from completing assignments, if it all an all-online assignment. Having multiple chargers allows for smooth transitions and ensures all students are able to learn for that day. My students were so excited as we opened the boxes and took inventory of the items. I opened all of the fidgets and squishes and put them in a bin at the front of the class and explained to them that they could get 1 thing at a time and then return it when they were done. They were SO EXCITED! They all came and got one thing and then came and switched it over and over again until they had used almost every item once. We also used on of the weighted lap mats to calm one of our students down as he was beginning to deregulate and stim very loudly. My students and I are so grateful for every item we received! Your donations and sponsorship have made a direct and meaningful impact on my students, providing them with the binders they need to stay organized, focused, and successful throughout the year. Your support is not just a gift of supplies — it's a powerful message to my students that their education matters and that there are people who believe in their potential.\r\n\r\nThe binders have already become an essential part of our daily routine. My students are using them to store notes, track important historical themes, and maintain timelines, documents, and review materials that they will rely on as they prepare for the AP Exam. With so much content to cover in AP World History, staying organized is half the battle — and thanks to your help, they now have the tools they need to meet that challenge head-on. It's made a noticeable difference in their confidence and ability to engage with the material.\r\n\r\nAs we work toward the AP Exam in May — an opportunity for students to earn college credit in history — I'm so pleased to see how empowered and motivated they are. Your support made it possible for our students to participate in an immersive and eye-opening activity that challenged them to navigate the world from the perspective of someone who is deaf or hard of hearing. Thanks to your gift, the day was not just impactful—it was transformative.\r\n\r\nThroughout the day, students wore the headphones and engaged in daily tasks, conversations, and even made presentations while experiencing varying levels of sound deprivation. Many found themselves frustrated at how difficult it was to communicate, how often others grew impatient, and how quickly they felt isolated in a hearing-dominated world. This experience sparked important reflections on empathy, accessibility, and inclusion. It opened their eyes to the challenges faced by the Deaf and hard of hearing community in ways no lecture or textbook ever could.\r\n\r\nWe are deeply grateful for your part in making this experience possible.
