As a unique, fun way of learning more about the Civil Rights Movement, students will be given the opportunity to read the graphic novel, "March: Book One." The graphic novel immerses students into the early stages of the Civil Rights Movement through the eyes of one of the key figures of the movement, Congressman John Lewis. By learning about history in this fun, visually appealing way, students will be more involved in their reading of the material and feel connected to it on a more personal level. All students, no matter their literacy comprehension, will have the confidence to actively and intelligently participate in class discussions.
