The headphone sets have completely transformed our independent learning time, students can now focus during work time and digital lessons without distractions. The fun yard games have brought new excitement to our movement and teamwork activities, helping students build cooperation and communication skills. We've also been using the glue supplies in our SEL projects, allowing students to create hands-on designs that spark creativity and problem-solving.\r\n\r\nWhen the students first saw the new materials, their faces lit up with excitement! Many couldn't wait to try on their own headphones or test out the new games outside. The classroom buzzed with energy and gratitude. Looking ahead, our next project involves using the headphones for a research and presentation unit, where students will explore topics of interest and create multimedia projects to share with the class. The new gloves, shovels, hydroponic system, seeds, and bird feeders have transformed our outdoor space into a living classroom where learning truly comes to life. When the supplies first arrived, excitement filled the room; scholars eagerly unpacked boxes, passing around gloves and examining seed packets like treasures. Their eyes lit up when they saw the hydroponic system, immediately asking how plants could grow without soil. That curiosity sparked an impromptu science discussion and inspired several students to start sketching garden plans on the whiteboard before class even ended! Our next step is to start learning about the hydroponic system and connect our garden lessons to nutrition and sustainability. Students will soon be measuring plant growth data and tasting the fruits (and veggies!) of their labor.","fullyFundedDate":1746506987262,"projectUrl":"project/tlja-school-garden/9099534/","projectTitle":"TLJA School Garden","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Bennett","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp6575192_orig.jpg?crop=1440,1440,x0,y240&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1738762118512","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/6575192"},{"teacherId":9848816,"projectId":9264696,"letterContent":"Thank you for the outside play tools, such as jump ropes, soccer balls, basketballs, volleyballs and playground balls. They sent tools for studying tetrahymena, including all the tools, excepting the microscopes. We will be studying how the food resource levels change the population. We will be using the microscopes to take closer looks at the populations over time.\r\nOur scholars were \"over the moon\" when we were unpacking the boxes with me. The lab tools that were included are just the right size for them.
