Because of your generosity, what started as a simple idea has now become a meaningful and lasting experience for our students.\r\n\r\nWhen I first envisioned bringing giant board games into our gym, I was thinking about more than just fun—I was thinking about connection, growth, and giving students something to truly look forward to. Thanks to you, that vision is now a reality. Our students now have the opportunity to celebrate their hard work with something special, something memorable, and something that reinforces the values we work so hard to teach every single day.\r\n\r\nThe impact has been immediate and powerful.\r\n\r\nThese larger-than-life games have transformed our \"earned free days\" into moments filled with laughter, teamwork, and genuine joy. Students who might not always gravitate toward traditional sports are finding their place, shining in new ways, and building confidence. They are learning that being safe, respectful, and responsible doesn't stop during structured lessons—it carries into every activity, every interaction, and every choice they make.\r\n\r\nWhat has been most meaningful to witness is the way these games bring students together. They are cheering each other on, practicing patience, solving problems as a team, and showing true sportsmanship. Friendships are growing stronger, new connections are forming, and our gym has become an even more inclusive and welcoming space.\r\n\r\nYou didn't just fund equipment—you helped create experiences.\r\n\r\nYou gave students something to be proud of, something to work toward, and something that reinforces the importance of kindness, cooperation, and character. These are lessons that extend far beyond our gym and will stay with them long after the games are put away.\r\n\r\nPlease know that your generosity has made a real difference in the lives of our students. Your support reminds them that there are people out there who believe in them and care about their success and happiness. That message alone is incredibly powerful.\r\n\r\nFrom the bottom of my heart, and on behalf of every student who has laughed, learned, and grown through these experiences—thank you. Your kindness has helped turn ordinary days into unforgettable ones.","fullyFundedDate":1766156435959,"projectUrl":"project/big-games-for-big-connections/9700670/","projectTitle":"Big Games for Big Connections","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. Koke","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-3_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10027345"},{"teacherId":1581695,"projectId":10150722,"letterContent":"My students were SO excited about these new games. What an example you are being for them. \r\n\r\nWe have had a chance to play many of them and each one has been so much fun. The students are now asking every day if we are going to play another game. They are getting the opportunity to practice language in a way that is less stressful for them. I love when they do not even realize that what they are playing is also what they are learning. \r\n\r\nWith so many new games to try, Fridays will now be our game days for the remainder of the school year. The addition of the 3D printer, filament, and the chalk markers has opened a new level of exploration and hands-on learning in the art room. Students are already using the chalk markers during our planning and sketching phases, especially on our reusable glass boards, where they can experiment, erase, revise, and collaborate with ease. This has made our early design work more interactive and far more engaging for young learners who thrive on immediate visual feedback.\r\n\r\nOne of our most meaningful early moments with these new materials came during a design-thinking activity where students were challenged to imagine a small functional object they could one day 3D print. Seeing the 3D printer for the first time was magical for them. Many gasped, clapped, and gathered around the printer with excitement, asking endless questions about how it works and when they could create something of their own. Even before we have the dry erase table in place, students have been using the chalk markers for collaborative brainstorming, sketching prototypes, and planning out shapes and patterns that they hope to turn into future 3D-printed pieces.\r\n\r\nAs we move forward, students will begin working through simple modeling exercises, connecting their drawings and chalkboard plans to foundational 3D design skills. Our next step will be to guide them through creating their first small 3D printed classroom objects, giving each child the opportunity to see their ideas come to life. These resources have transformed the classroom environment, supported cross-grade collaboration, and expanded what is possible in our art curriculum. Your contribution is already making a lasting impact, and my students and I are deeply grateful for your generosity.","fullyFundedDate":1759174918226,"projectUrl":"project/create-without-limits-dry-erase-art-sta/9539970/","projectTitle":"Create Without Limits: Dry Erase Art Station","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Hoskins","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp8643845_orig.jpg?crop=2400,2400,x0,y304&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1721655675484","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8643845"},{"teacherId":4313640,"projectId":9682549,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for supporting the education of my students! The new light tables have quickly become a favorite tool for our students. We are using them in a variety of creative ways—from tracing and refining drawings to exploring the effects of color layering with translucent materials. One of our first projects will involve creating illuminated landscapes, where students layer tissue paper to build colorful scenes that come to life when placed on the light tables. The glow beneath their artwork truly sparks their imaginations and will bring a whole new level of excitement to the classroom.\r\n\r\nWhen the students first saw the light tables set up, their eyes lit up with curiosity and wonder. Many had never seen or used a light table before, so their reactions ranged from wide smiles to eager questions like, \"Can we use this every day?\" They were instantly drawn to experiment with how light changes the way we see and create art. It has added a magical, hands-on dimension to our learning that encourages creativity, focus, and discovery.\r\n\r\nNext, we'll be using the light tables to explore symmetry and design by tracing patterns and creating mandalas.
