I never would have thought that my first project on this website would eventually be fully funded by such kind and generous donors. Here at my school, we only cater to preschool, kindergarten, and first grade students. With that being said, we run through supplies a little faster than I like to admit. \r\nOne of my main goals with a group of students this young is to care for our tools and supplies, while also reminding them of sharing. The new materials donated from this project were definitely the stepping stone we needed to see the true impact of taking care of our materials and tools. We received plenty of new items with our donation. fund including: seat cushions, texture rubbing plates, tacky glue, paint cups with lids, and dot markers!\r\nMy students have been using the new seat cushions weekly! We use them as a class to view images and videos on the board closely. Anytime we have a painting lesson, we use. every single one of the new cups and lids. And recently, we began a texture unit! We have use the new rubbing plate every day to create new textures on our drawings. I allowed the preschoolers to use the dot markers as we decorated a giant Christmas tree! Soon, I plan to use the tacky glue on a 3D project with our recycled materials in schools. \r\nWhen my students first saw the new items, I could not contain the excitement. There was jumping, clapping, and screaming! We are forever blessed with the support given.
