My desire is to have a rug for my students to sit on with plenty of space for each child. My students would love to have a fun, colorful, comfortable place to sit during learning activities. The rug I am hoping for would fulfill those needs. It is bright, colorful, whimsical, and brings a little bit of nature inside the classroom. The leaves on the trees give students their own individual space to sit while they learn. The rug would be used multiple times during the day for students to come together and learn as a group. We will use the rug as a place to hold our morning meeting, to listen to stories, to do calendar time, musical activities, and group learning activities. The rug will be our gathering place. The rug will also be used for students to stretch out and read a book or play a game with a friend during independent learning time.
