We have a Warrior Way store that we \"open\" every Friday at lunch for the students to come and purchase different items with the tickets they have earned throughout the week. This year, we want to show them how proud we are of them by doing a raffle again at the end of the year. Students work so hard to earn their tickets day-in and day-out to make our school the best place to be. With your generosity, we are going to be able to provide new, exciting items for the students who have worked so hard all year long. This will be such a wonderful pay off for our students, and one we hope to continue to provide as the years go on. We recently used the new lights and flashlights during a special Fruitastic Glow Day focused on place value, and it completely transformed our learning. Students used the lights to highlight tens and ones, build numbers, and explain their thinking in a fun, hands-on way. Watching them use the materials to model numbers and talk through their strategies was a powerful reminder of how meaningful learning can be when students are actively engaged.\r\n\r\nWhen the materials first came out, the reaction was priceless! Gasps, cheers, and lots of excitement filled the room. My students were instantly hooked and eager to get started. The glow effect made the lesson feel special, and even students who are usually hesitant to participate jumped right in. The excitement helped boost focus, confidence, and collaboration throughout the lesson.\r\n\r\nNext, we'll continue using these materials during small groups and math centers as we deepen our understanding of place value and move into comparing numbers and problem-solving. Your generosity gave our students a memorable experience that made math both fun and meaningful.
