While that has allowed us to learn some amazing life skills that will stick with us forever, the aromas from the cooking are not good for the fish or the plants. We have finally got our new kitchen approved. In the fall will will be cooking in a separate kitchen located next to the greenhouse. We had to delay construction until this summer so we have not been able to set up the islands that we will be using in our cooking stations. We have attached pictures of the plans for the kitchen. From hands-on centers to creative writing prompts and interactive activities, these materials have helped me reach students at different levels and learning styles, making our lessons more dynamic and personalized. The flexibility to choose exactly what we need, when we need it, has been a game-changer.\r\n\r\nOne of the most exciting things for the students has been the variety—every week brings something new and interactive. They especially love the games and digital escape rooms that make learning feel like play. These resources have brought energy into the classroom, and it's been especially powerful for a few students who typically struggle with traditional worksheets. One student in particular, who often shuts down during lessons, has become fully engaged during our new literacy activities from TPT. It's amazing how the right resource can unlock confidence and interest in learning.\r\n\r\nYour support has made a direct and meaningful difference in our classroom. The items that you have helped us purchase to kick off the summer will make an immediate impact. We sent a picture of the screen doors that we put up in the greenhouse. As you can imagine, the heat in the summer raises the greenhouse temperature to over 100 degrees on some days. Since there is no air conditioning in the greenhouse we rely on fans that pull air through the greenhouse. We were not able to keep the doors open because it lets in too many bugs.
