Our students love to play with play-doh, in fact, they ask to get it out on a daily basis. There is so much we can do with play-doh besides free play although the students are constantly learning even with free play. Play-doh is used during centers at times to work with shapes, letters or numbers, for example. \r\nOur students were so excited when they saw that we received our very own vacuum for our classroom. Some of them like to vacuum more than others, but they are learning how to accomplish this skill while keeping our room clean at the same time. We complete this vocational task at least once a week. The Lysol wipes and disinfectant spray are used on a daily basis to keep our room clean and free of germs. The students complete this vocational task of cleaning our tables each day. They really enjoy being helpers in the classroom!\r\nThe laminating sheets and Velcro we received are used in a variety of ways. As a special education teacher, I create various folders, laminate them and use Velcro for many activities such as for ELA and Math learning. The laminating sheets and Velcro are also used for first/then boards, visuals, and reward choices to name a few. These items really help my students understand better what is going on, what is being asked of them and what their schedules are for the day.\r\nYour generosity has made a huge impact on our classroom. We will continue to use these donated items for months and even years to come. We cannot thank you enough for your kindness.","fullyFundedDate":1733281240944,"projectUrl":"project/little-lee-lions-roaring-for-success/8973309/","projectTitle":"Little Lee Lions Roaring for Success","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Kovski","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9839170_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1732750578322","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9839170"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_26336","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":192,"numTeachers":23,"percentFrplEligible":95,"percentAsian":1,"percentBlack":58,"percentWhite":26,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":4,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"Pre-K - 5","studentTeacherRatio":"8.3:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"URBAN","ncesMetroType":"CITY_MIDSIZE"},"inStateSupporters":80.6,"schoolId":26336,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Edwin A Lee Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Edwin A Lee Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/illinois/springfield-public-schools-district-186/edwin-a-lee-elementary-school/26336"}
