This space has had a meaningful impact on my students, especially my younger ones, who no longer have to navigate the stairs to get to therapy. \r\n\r\nThe new area feels warmer and more inviting, which helps my students feel comfortable and engaged during sessions. They love having a rug to sit and play on, and the dedicated storage space keeps our therapy materials organized and easily accessible. Overall, the speech corner has made therapy more enjoyable and accessible, and it's been working out wonderfully this school year.\r\n\r\nI am so grateful for your generosity in making this possible—your support has directly impacted my students' learning and created a space where they feel at home. We have enjoyed our new classroom items so much! The books have been a big hit. I have a lot of history and nonfiction fans and they have so enjoyed reading about the important people and places of our world. \r\n The flower table is such an important new piece in my classroom. It gets used daily. We have small group math sessions that allow me to watch them closely and ensure they are understanding the lesson, which is so important. We have also used it for one-on-one center time. I can have one or two students with me to discuss the lesson at length and make sure they are retaining the knowledge needed. \r\n The dividers have made taking tests so much easier as well. Thanks to you, we were able to get over 60 new books for my classroom library. Every day the kids have 30 minutes after PE to sit and read and they have been LOVING the new books. I can barely keep the Dog Man and I Survived books on the shelves. They've also been enjoying the Magic Treehouse books, which are classics. \r\n\r\nThey have also really been enjoying the Roald Dahl books. We started off reading Charlie and the Chocolate Factory which was a story all of the kids knew, but none of them had read the book before. They loved pointing out the differences between the movie and the book. Now we are reading The Witches for our class read aloud. They are absolutely enthralled with the story, which is one none of them are familiar with. My students use these resources every single day. We use the white boards, markers, and erasers for our 5-minute music theory each day before we sing in 5th and 6th grade choir. We also use the binders every day to better hold our music in 5th-HS choir. My elementary students loved reading the new music books as well. Each of my classes love having the new speaker available to be used. We even used it when we went caroling!\r\nMy students were absolutely shocked when they first saw the white boards laid out in each of their seats! They had no idea I had asked for them. They love to have their own space to work on music notation. The HS and JH students were thrilled to have new binders as well because their old music binders were in pretty bad shape. They could not wait to switch them out. \r\nWe plan to continue to use these awesome resources each day in class and for future performances as well.
