These activities give students opportunities to practice teamwork, sportsmanship, coordination, and perseverance while simply enjoying being kids.\r\n\r\nMy students were so excited to see the new equipment! For many of them, opportunities to play and participate in organized physical activities are something they truly look forward to. Having equipment that is fun and engaging helps every student feel included and gives them a chance to shine in a different way than they might in the traditional classroom.\r\n\r\nThank you for investing in our students and helping make school a place where learning, movement, friendship, and fun can all come together!","fullyFundedDate":1789266200345,"projectUrl":"project/building-stronger-bodies/10385900/","projectTitle":"Building Stronger Bodies","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Krow","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp8780718_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1783289738473","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8780718"},{"teacherId":3225088,"projectId":10278908,"letterContent":"We are incredibly grateful to our generous DonorsChoose donors for making it possible to bring these engaging games and activities into our classroom! These resources provide students with a fun and meaningful way to practice important executive functioning skills such as focus, memory, problem-solving, planning, flexibility, impulse control, and teamwork. Instead of learning these skills only through traditional instruction, students can develop them through hands-on experiences that feel like play while still supporting important learning and development.\r\nBecause of your generosity, our students now have opportunities to strengthen skills that will benefit them far beyond the classroom. We are already seeing how games can encourage students to slow down, think ahead, take turns, follow directions, manage frustration, and try a different strategy when something doesn't work. These are essential skills for becoming independent, confident learners, and your support has helped make practicing them engaging and accessible for our students.
