I have wanted an aquarium for my classroom for so long. Sure, I could have found an old tank at a garage sale, but having the right aquarium, one that sustains life, takes money. It was always a, \"If I don't have to spend money on XYZ, then I'll get an aquarium.\" Well when you work in a low income school, there always seems to be XYZ to spend my money on first.\r\n This year however, I knew I needed to get an aquarium. I have a student that has high emotional needs. I have a very small tank, which he noticed, and start asking if I could get fish. The tank, being so small though, would only hold 1 beta or maybe a snail. We started off with that, but it just wasn't enough for my student that needs a much bigger distraction than a half-gallon tank. This is where you came in. I dreamed big and wrote a Donors Choose grant. You answered the call and provided the money I needed to get that bigger tank (with all of the bells and whistles). \r\n So, in January, I was able to get my tank set up, with the help of a local fish store, I bought two male guppies and two females. As you can imagine, all of the students have enjoyed this new tank, that now, by the end of February, has grown to add about 20 baby guppies. The students have enjoyed checking in on them and seeing them grow. My student that needs the distraction, is also able to walk to the back of the room, grab the magnifying glass, and count for any new guppies. \r\n So, it may seem like such a small thing, a fish tank. As a teacher, it means so much to know that there are people and companies willing to invest their resources in order to finance the potential of my students and their futures. Your support means the world to me and has brought my team and students one step closer to achieving our STEM goals.\r\nThanks to your contribution, our students had access to cutting-edge instructional robotics mats that assist with programming and an additional Spike Prime robot. These additional materials enabled them to develop critical STEM skills, creativity, and teamwork. Your generosity inspires and empowers young minds, opening doors to exciting opportunities in the world of technology.\r\nPlease know that your kindness has a profound impact, not only on our classroom but also on the future innovators I am nurturing. \r\nHere are some of my favorite quotes from their thank you letters.\r\n\"It's really fun making new things out of the Legos.
