Because of your kindness, we received eight tabletop whiteboards and four large standing whiteboards, and they have completely transformed how my students learn science every day.\r\nThese whiteboards have already become an essential part of our daily routines across multiple subjects:\r\n\r\nChemistry Calculations: Students gather around the tabletop boards to map out multi-step metric conversions and solve complex density problems together, catching their math errors in real time.\r\n\r\nBiology Genetics: Groups use the standing boards to sketch out giant Punnett squares and trace inherited traits, making abstract genetic concepts visible and interactive.\r\n\r\nLow-Stakes Problem Solving: Erasing a mistake on a whiteboard feels far less intimidating than putting an incorrect answer permanently on paper, which has noticeably boosted my students' confidence to try difficult problems.\r\n\r\nOne specific moment that stood out happened during a recent chemistry lab. I watched a group of four students huddle over a tabletop board to solve a tricky unit conversion problem. Instead of working silently on individual worksheets, they were actively discussing each step, debating which conversion factors to use, and taking turns with the marker to refine their setup. Seeing them coach each other and cheer when they finally landed on the right answer showed me just how powerful these interactive tools really are.\r\n\r\nLooking ahead, our next step in biology is diving into complex dihybrid genetics crosses and protein synthesis. Students will use the standing whiteboards to model how DNA transcribes into RNA, sketching out the molecular structures step-by-step. In chemistry, we are moving into stoichiometry, where groups will map out full chemical reactions and mole ratios on their tabletop boards before running their hands-on lab experiments.\r\n\r\nYour generosity has given my students a dynamic, hands-on way to collaborate, make mistakes, and master tough scientific concepts together. ALL of my students use these materials regularly to create hands on projects like College Posters in my College & Careers class, Business Types posters in Intro to Business and Investing & Credit posters in Personal Finance. Hands on projects allow students to use creativity, collaboration and communication skills which are so important to gain knowledge of while in high school.\r\nStudents LOVE new materials and useful materials like these. We used the construction paper on the Popsicle stick Management function houses where students learned the 4 roles that managers functions in each day at work. We used these in Intro to Business, when students were learning about how to run an ethical business and give back to the community. Students were able to design their own Ben & Jerry's carton, using the charity of their choice. They also got to design the flavors and ingredients in each carton. They then got to select the name of the ice cream. One student chose \"Mission Pawsible\" for his ice cream because his charity was The Humane Society.\r\nThese projects were tons of fun and engaged the students for 2 class periods. It wasn't complicated, but took patience to get the right mix of flavors, name and charity of choice. We used Google Slides, so they also had to learn how to paste images behind one another. One student discovered how to do this quickly and showed everyone else in his class how to paste the color image behind the images so each carton had a color.\r\nLots of great learning happened during this project due to your donation. We greatly appreciate your thoughtfulness and generosity.
