They could hardly wait to open the boxes and see what was inside. For many of them, this was their very first experience with gardening, so having their own gloves, trowels, watering cans, and seed packets made it feel incredibly special.\r\n\r\nWe are using these resources to launch a classroom garden project that ties into our science lessons and social-emotional learning. The students are learning how plants grow, what they need to thrive, and how we can take care of living things β lessons that go far beyond the classroom. Each student planted seeds and labeled their containers, and now we're tracking growth, measuring sprouts, and recording our observations in garden journals.\r\n\r\nOne of my favorite moments was seeing the joy on their faces when they saw the first tiny green shoots appear! They immediately started talking about how they could share what they've learned with their families or even start small gardens at home.\r\n\r\nYour generous donation made this hands-on learning possible. You didn't just give us tools β you helped plant curiosity, responsibility, and a love for nature in my students' hearts. Thank you for giving them the chance to dig in, explore, and grow β both as learners and as caretakers of our Earth. πΏπ","fullyFundedDate":1746621383875,"projectUrl":"project/planting-seeds-of-knowledge-a-hands-on/9160460/","projectTitle":"Planting Seeds of Knowledge: A Hands-On Gardening Project for Students","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Melissa","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9522713_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1753116797938","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9522713"},{"teacherId":6803988,"projectId":9453163,"letterContent":"We are so thankful that you chose to support our school district!
