Is it a new pen?\" Seeing an unfamiliar item in our classroom brought many questions when my students arrived at their lesson. It was an excellent opportunity for one of my students to be the teacher and demonstrate leadership skills with their peers. \r\n I had shown the new \"magic pen\" to one of my students to read directions on a worksheet. She could then complete tasks independently and felt good about not needing to ask an adult to read her the directions or story problems. When it was time to share with a small group of students, she took the lead and demonstrated how to use the pen to read her book. The peers were in awe at how the pen would tell the app what the page read. They were then all anxious to use the pen for their work. \r\n My students and I greatly appreciate your support in opening up new learning opportunities. We can explore more books and topics of interest where the print is above their reading level. Reading more books or passages at or near grade level can lead to more conversations with peers about what they were \"reading.\" When you work with students who struggle with reading and hear them say, \"I can't wait to read a new book tomorrow with the pen,\" it warms your heart to provide this additional opportunity for them to read.","fullyFundedDate":1728752254499,"projectUrl":"project/a-pen-with-many-features/8866848/","projectTitle":"A Pen With Many Features","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Heidtke","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9798221_orig.jpg?crop=504,504,x0,y82&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1728471244298","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9798221"},{"teacherId":4493403,"projectId":8865279,"letterContent":"Wow.
