Because every student has a clean, readable copy, we've been able to dive deep into Norton Juster's brilliant wordplay. They are actively mapping out Milo's growth and analyzing how his mindset changes with every character he meets.\r\n\r\nOne of the most profound moments happened during our discussion on the Doldrums, the place where people waste time. One of my students, who typically struggles to stay focused during reading, looked up and said, \"I think I live in the Doldrums sometimes when I'm on my phone, and Tock is like my mom yelling at me to snap out of it.\" Seeing a ten-year-old make that kind of personal connection to about using time wisely was exactly why I wanted to teach this book.\r\n\r\nPlease know that your generosity has a dual impact.
