We have completed our class assignment one concerning using oil pastels with the younger students and for the older students, we're still using charcoal pencils along with the mannequin figures. The mannequin figure it took my older students some time in order to understand how forms work on the human body. Some students saw the mannequin form similar to an action figure but as we continued to practice still life drawing, it became easier for students to be able to identify forms.\r\n\r\nMy next steps are for middle school to delve into colors due to students needing to know the color theory first before using colors. We will be working on that for the 4th quarter.
