They are little piglets (my nickname for them since our class will have the theme of Winnie the Pooh). They are 6 and 7 year old children, some just entering school for the first time. They go to school in an urban neighborhood where negative images are seen on a daily basis and they have a minimum view of positive role models outside of the classroom. They are impressionable children that need a beacon of light of just how far they are capable of going in this world.
