These materials have helped make biology accessible for my students. The texts and activities have already helped my students understand topics such as animal adaptations and the immune system. \r\n\r\nThe curriculum includes scientific text at students' comprehension levels. For the first time, I have science textbooks that work for my students! They include age-appropriate topics and concepts, and at the same time they are easy to read without being babyish. Along with the texts are glossaries with clear, concise, accessible definitions. I have been able to use these glossaries to create additional activities for students to truly learn and understand the vocabulary. \r\n\r\nThe curriculum also includes cards for each unit that lend themselves to various activities to help students grasp the concepts more deeply. So far, we have used the cards to sort different animals according to their habitats, and to play games that help build and reinforce vocabulary.\r\n\r\nThis curriculum has truly helped my students learn. On our recent assessment at the end of the unit on the immune system, all the students demonstrated a true understanding of what they had learned! \r\n\r\nI am truly grateful for your generosity and support of my students. It has already been a great asset in my classroom and I am looking forward to using the materials to teach additional concepts, such as the nervous system and evolution!
