Many of my students struggle with abstract math concepts, but this simulator turned those skills into something tangible and meaningful. They are now confidently identifying coins and bills, calculating totals, and applying math in real-life scenarios.\r\nThe most powerful impact has been on their confidence and independence. Students who typically hesitate to participate are now volunteering to be the cashier, inventory manager, or store owner. They are collaborating, communicating, and problem-solving together. For my students receiving special education services, this type of experiential learning closes academic gaps while also building essential life skills.\r\nBecause of you, my students are not just learning math standards — they are learning financial literacy, responsibility, and entrepreneurship. You have given them an experience that will benefit them far beyond this school year.\r\nThank you for believing in their potential and investing in their future.","fullyFundedDate":1767881235272,"projectUrl":"project/learning-about-money-by-running-our-own/9962892/","projectTitle":"“Learning About Money by Running Our Own Classroom Snack Business!”","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Ochoa","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9874313_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1763539041393","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/ochoamendoza"},{"teacherId":9874313,"projectId":9735364,"letterContent":"Because of your incredible support, technology in our classroom has become more than just a tool it has become a bridge to access and independence. While many people use technology at home for communication or entertainment, in our classroom it is used to remove learning barriers. I am now able to instantly modify assignments, enlarge text, add visuals, translate directions, color-code information, and provide scaffolded supports in real time. For my Diverse Learners, especially those who struggle with reading, writing, or processing information, this means they can access grade-level content with confidence. Instead of feeling frustrated, they feel capable.\r\nWhat excites my students most is seeing their work come to life in color and clarity. Visual learners light up when charts, vocabulary cards, math models, and step-by-step guides are printed in engaging, meaningful formats. They love seeing anchor charts that reflect exactly what we are learning in that moment. The ability to immediately adjust materials to fit their needs has made instruction more dynamic and responsive and they notice the difference.\r\nI have seen particular growth in students who previously hesitated to participate. Some of my struggling readers now independently use visual supports to decode directions. Others who need structured layouts benefit from color-coded math steps or writing organizers. Students who once waited for help are now attempting tasks more confidently because the materials are designed with their learning style in mind. Your donation is not just providing supplies it is strengthening independence, closing learning gaps, and helping my students believe in themselves.","fullyFundedDate":1763606418460,"projectUrl":"project/paper-ink-and-stem-unlocking-student/9735364/","projectTitle":"Paper, Ink, and STEM: Unlocking Student Potential","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Ochoa","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9874313_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1763539041393","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/ochoamendoza"},{"teacherId":9780015,"projectId":9699208,"letterContent":"We are incredibly grateful for your donation, which has had an immediate and positive impact on our students' emotional and social well-being. The canopy is now a vital component of our Calm Corner, giving students a safe space to regulate their emotions. Most significantly, this secure environment has helped one student overcome social barriers, enabling him to finally socialize and play with his friends, fostering crucial peer connections that were previously very challenging for him.\r\n\r\nAdditionally, the other materials are crucial for supporting focus and engagement. The chewable toys and fidgets serve as indispensable tools to help students calm down and concentrate during lessons. The puzzles and academic busy books are boosting hands-on learning, making our lessons more interactive and accessible.
