Your thoughtful contributions towards flexible seating, organizational supplies, and resources for small group instruction will have a transformative impact on our middle school ELA classrooms.\r\n\r\nIn our classrooms, we aspire to cultivate not just readers and writers, but also critical thinkers who confidently navigate their learning journey. We believe that by fostering agency and providing the right environment, we empower these young scholars to develop the vision and confidence necessary for success, both within and beyond our classroom walls.\r\n\r\nYour generosity is directly helping us create a dynamic and well-organized, student-centered space. This space includes collaborative learning environments where students can learn cooperatively, monitor their progress together, and build essential communication and teamwork skills as they delve into texts and explore complex ideas. The organizational supplies will be instrumental in structuring our classroom to facilitate these small groups seamlessly. These structured small groups will enable me to provide more personalized instruction, directly address individual needs, and cultivate greater independence in each student's learning.\r\n\r\nWe are so excited to see the positive changes these resources will bring to our students' engagement and growth. We now have a wide variety of activities we can do to enhance their experience in Physical Education. This Donation will be felt for years by our students and future students at Mount Vernon School. \r\nI can not thank you enough for all the equipment we received from this Donation. \r\nThe new resources have introduced our students to new things and activities. \r\nThe students' reaction at first was in shock, but after we started badminton, and they had never played this game before, they were excited to learn something new. Some students went out and had their parents buy badminton sets so they could practice at home. \r\nI also had students ask if they played badminton in high school.? And there are their teams. \r\nAfter the donations, I started with badminton, and since then, I have added pickleball, whiffle ball, and kickball to our program. The snacks and treats you contributed have become a cornerstone of our weekly reward system, celebrating students' dedication to completing their work and demonstrating positive behavior. Seeing their faces light up as they proudly choose their reward has been truly heartwarming. For instance, just last week, one student who had been struggling with focus worked extra hard to stay on task, and the joy on their face when they earned their favorite snack was priceless. These moments have created a buzz of enthusiasm, and our students are now more motivated than ever to strive for success.\r\n\r\nWhen the students first saw the new materials, they couldn't contain their excitement. The room was filled with cheers, and some even jumped out of their seats! One student exclaimed, \"This is the best day ever!\" while others immediately started brainstorming what they could accomplish to earn their treats. The snacks have not only been an incentive but also a way to foster a sense of accomplishment and pride in their work.\r\n\r\nLooking ahead, we plan to integrate this reward system into a collaborative classroom project where students work in teams to achieve weekly goals. This will encourage teamwork, accountability, and mutual support. These next steps are about more than just earning treats—they're about building a strong, motivated, and connected classroom community.
