I wanted to reach out personally to thank you for supporting equity in STEM. It is vital that our Black and Brown scholars see themselves as pilots, engineers, and scientists.\r\n\r\nYour help allows us to create a learning environment where the sky is literally the limit. When the boxes arrived, the excitement in the room was palpable. The students immediately wanted to assemble the podiums and start practicing!\r\n\r\nBefore having these podiums, students would stand awkwardly by their desks or at the front of the room, often unsure of what to do with their hands or their notes. Now, the transformation is immediate. As soon as a student steps behind the podium, their posture straightens, their focus sharpens, and they slip into a \"professional\" mindset.\r\n\r\nHere is the impact you have made:\r\n\r\nOrganization: Students now have a dedicated space to manage their flow sheets and evidence cards, allowing them to focus on their arguments rather than shuffling papers.\r\n\r\nConfidence: For my shyest speakers, the podium acts as a shield and a support system. It gives them the courage to look up and address the audience.\r\n\r\nProfessionalism: Our classroom now feels like a competitive arena. The students take the activity more seriously because the environment looks the part.\r\n\r\nYou haven't just given us furniture; you have given these middle schoolers a platform—literally and figuratively—to share their ideas.
