Our school's new initiative is to pilot "Mastery Based Learning". In MBL scholars have the opportunity to excel at their own pace. This type of learning and educational process offers many benefits that traditional teaching techniques cannot. The Mastery Based Learning teaching method is based on the idea that scholars' progression through a course is dependent on proficiency, and not the amount of time spent in class working on the subject. Chromebooks give the scholars additional support from various platforms at their independent levels. It can ultimately build their confidence in their own academic ability. Through this interactive approach, scholars from disadvantaged homes, diverse learners, and English Language Learners are able to access information, through a personalized and small group setting, according to their preferred modality!
